Making Progress

Remember this little guy?  

An 1840's gem from my mom's basement?

Well, he got his makeover this week and is looking much more refreshed.

Much better, no?

I didn't document the process much (and by 'much' I mean 'at all') because I got to work on it and it went relatively quickly. His larger brother (the loveseat) has a long long way to go. We do have a spot for them picked out in my mom's living room so we don't have a choice but to finish them.

My goal: Thanksgiving. I know that's a long way from now, but given that I'm starting school next week, I'm afraid my available time to work on it will diminish considerably. He still needs the back and arms rebuilt, along with a layer of muslin before we can even start getting to the exciting fabric part.

We'll get it done though - watch for our progress - I promise to keep you updated.
