Remember when I first started working on that elusive love seat? Yeah, it was June, and my (not so) little brothers dragged it up from the basement for me and my mom to start the deconstruction process. I never did get around to showing you are before pictures and, believe it or not, I'm just about ready to show you the after.
So, as we do those last finishing touches, I'll give you a sneak peek at what she looked like prior to our TLC.
Here she is in all her glory. And this is before we even touched her. Her seat had clearly seen better days and was a mess of cotton, horse hair, and some remaining scraps of fabric.
Isn't that fabric beautiful?
And, after all the fabric and stuffing was off, here's what we were left with:
Clearly, she needed a lot more work. Those springs were loose and there were still hundreds of tacks to remove, and, if that weren't enough, she also required some wood glue to hold it all together.
We've spent months slowing making progress on this love seat (admittedly, I've been slacking in the past few months) and I finally spent a good 12 hours this weekend working on her to get her just about finished.
Completed pictures to come later this week. She's a beauty.
